Privacy & Cookie Notice

Who we are
A Song for This is operated by MM Design Agency, LLC, based in Fayetteville, Georgia, United States. For privacy questions or requests, email info@mmdesignagency.io.
Information you provide
When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, project type and title, story or description, desired feeling, musical references, key details or lyrics, intended audience, timeline, budget range, rights preference, and contact choice. Your brief may include information about other people. Please share only information you have permission to provide and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
We use inquiry information to review your request, contact you, and discuss or provide your requested song service. We do not use inquiry information for unrelated marketing, AI tools, or contractors, and we do not sell it.
Storage and service providers
Submitted inquiries are stored in our website’s PostgreSQL database. A copy of your brief is sent through Resend to our studio inbox. Our hosting, database, and email providers process information to operate these services. Our studio mailbox is hosted by DreamHost.
Service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, when delivering the website, email, or other resources. Processing may occur outside your country, including in the United States. We do not share inquiry information for third-party marketing.
Retention and deletion
Our intended retention period for inquiries and studio notification emails is one day, but that deletion process is not yet in place. Currently, inquiries remain in the database and mailbox until deleted; we cannot promise deletion within one day.
Our administrator handles deletion requests. Contact info@mmdesignagency.io to request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your request. Provider logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules and may not be removed immediately when an active record is deleted.
Essential browser storage
The site uses browser storage that does not require optional analytics permission:
- Cookie preferences:
asong-cookie-consentin local storage records your analytics and advertising choices, a version, and the time saved. Choices are treated as valid for 180 days, after which the site asks again. The stored entry may remain until replaced or cleared. - Project selection:
inquiryDraftin session storage remembers the project type you selected. It does not save your completed questionnaire. - Submission receipt:
inquiryReceiptin session storage holds your receipt reference, submission time, and confirmation message.
Session storage normally lasts for the browser tab’s session; browser restoration features may preserve it. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may remove your preferences and receipt.
Optional Google Analytics and advertising choices
With your analytics permission, Google Analytics 4 measures visits and website use. It may process technical and usage information, such as browser or device information, pages visited, referral information, and approximate location, and use cookies such as _ga and _ga_*.
We use Basic Consent Mode: the Google Analytics library is not loaded before analytics permission. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from submitting an inquiry.
If analytics is enabled, a successfully saved inquiry can generate an inquiry-submission measurement event. That event does not include your name, email, brief contents, or receipt reference.
Advertising permission is separate from analytics permission. No advertising campaign tags are currently installed. Your advertising choice controls the consent signals sent when analytics runs; it does not enable features disabled in our Google account.
As checked on October 14, 2026, Google Signals, user-provided data collection, automatic contact-data collection through our Google tag, and ads personalization are disabled. One Google Ads account remains linked for non-personalized reporting and conversion measurement, with personalized advertising disabled. Account sharing for Google products & services, modeling contributions & business insights, and business recommendations is off; technical-support sharing remains on. These changes do not erase information Google previously received.
Google Analytics event-data retention is set to two months and user-data retention to fourteen months, with reset on new activity enabled. New activity can extend user-data retention. These settings do not impose those deletion periods on most aggregated reports or on data held separately by linked services. Google’s processing is also described in its Privacy Policy.
Fonts and other assets
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, even if you reject analytics. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve them, which exposes technical request information such as your IP address and browser information. Font loading is separate from Google Analytics. Song previews are served by this website rather than an embedded third-party music player.
Your choices
Open Cookie settings in the footer to change your analytics and advertising choices. Withdrawing optional permission reloads the page to stop the running analytics library and attempts to remove accessible tracking cookies. Withdrawal does not erase information already received by Google.
You may contact us about your privacy rights. Rights and applicable exceptions depend on your location and circumstances.
Adults and information about children
Inquiry submissions are for adults aged 18 or older. A parent or guardian may submit a request for a child. Children should not submit their own personal information through this form. If you believe a child submitted information directly, contact us so our administrator can review and delete it.
Changes
We may update this notice when our practices change. The effective date will identify the latest approved version.
